What Fuels Us?

We are a student run organization that focuses on education, research, and outreach related to biodiesel and sustainability. We produce fuel and soap from used cooking oil collected from campus and the community.

The Initiative

KU Biodiesel has been active on campus and within the Lawrence community since 2007. In 2012 we relocated to the Measurement, Materials and Sustainable Environment Center (M2SEC) and have been working from 3 interconnected labs ever since. The testing, research, and production labs reside on the ground floor of M2SEC and provide plenty of work space for all projects and undertakings.
